Learning about Web Design

You’re interested in web design. Where are the best online places to learn it? These ideas should help:

  • Try some online college courses. Learn about 3D, graphics, web design and all the elements that entail web design as a career.
  • Take on some online tutorials. Many are free and can give you the heads up and instruction you need to improve your skills in web design.
  • Check out some books at the library or online source. Study on your own. Keep these skills in mind when studying to be proficient in web design: strategy and marketing, site architecture, copywriting, graphic design and web page production.
  • Take a continuing education or adult education class in web design. Often, these classes are fairly inexpensive and are  located at your local college or high school.
  • Find a website or blog related to web design that can help you with the step of finding the training that is right for you. See what someone else has done to increase their skills.
  • Get help from a friend or neighbor, or find a tutor or mentor that you can pay to help you learn web design.
  • Watch some online videos. Many online courses are free and can get you from beginning to end in 12 hours worth of lessons.
  • Attend a traditional college. Get the help you need in a structured classroom setting with other students interested in learning the same craft.

Learning a new skill takes work, but continuous work and perseverance makes the biggest difference in a little success or a lot.
